Now that the second wave of artists names have officially settled in, we are in full on excitement mode over Dot to Dot Festival 2017. Taking place across 26th – 28th of May in THREE cities. Manchester, Bristol, and Nottingham are all set for the festival that has long been the best about featuring new artists.
So before the festival, we wanted to showcase 10 artists that have caught our attention and that are a must-see for anyone attending.
We’ve been fans of Sundara Karm for sometime now, we were able to see them perform at SXSW this year and they definitely live up to the hype. High energy shows with a dynamic band is what you’all get along with fun songs that you can’t help but dance to. It’s no wonder why they’re headlining.
2. The Growlers
The Growlers have a great legion of fans and if you’ve seen them live, you definitely understand why. Their shows are energetic and exhilarating with intoxicating tunes. The Growlers are one of the greats and have to be witnessed.
Honeyblood are a Scottish duo and give us our first dose of girl power. Sure to cause you to jump and dance in the pit, this infectious duo will make any heart flutter.
4. The Big Moon
The Big Moon have definitely caught our attention with their fun videos and high energy sets. They made a splash at SXSW and they’re Continuing making the festival circuit throughout the year. It’s easy to see why they’re quickly becoming festival favorites.
5. Cherry Glazerr
Ones to not be missed are festival darlings Cherry Glazerr. They’re a great addition to any lineup with their lively sets, addictive tracks, and fun energy.
6. Avante Black
Avante Black caught our attention when they self-released their demo called Imaginary Love. They’ve since released their single Drug Money and we can’t wait to see what else is in store.
What’s a festival without black girl magic. Representation is incredibly important, and of course, there still needs to be more of it at every festival. Whether it’s more female artists or artists of color, it’s something that most festivals look over (Dot to Dot is an exception). Vagabon happens to be both and the you add her poignant tracks of self-exploration… It cannot be missed.
8. Eyre Llew
Eyre Llew are a new band that are from Nottingham, they are sure to have a killer homecoming show.
9. Cosmo Pyke
Cosmo Pyke is an 18-year-old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Peckham and his spacey lo-fi tunes have definitely caught our attention. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for him.
10. Husky Loops
We have to admit, the name caught our attention and then we heard their sound. Razor sharp riffs with eclectic dance grooves with an edge make up this can’t be missed band.
