I’m a melomaniac. I’m always listening to music whether it’s alternative, indie, punk, or my shameless guilty pleasure that is hip-hop or pop… I love music and I’m your girl if you’re ready to engage in a passionate discussion or dissection of songs, rarities, and b-sides of any of my favorite bands. (i.e. the Beatles, the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Ramones, etc..)
Also, I’m a vinyl enthusiast. I can do some major damage to my wallet if I’m in a record shop. I support and probably have contributed a great deal to the increase of vinyl sales throughout the years.
Obviously, I’m an avid concert goer. I love them whether it’s an arena or they’re intimate shows, I prefer the latter though. I simply love the overall concert experience.
One of my favorite things about a concert is queuing for a gig and meeting people because you bond over your mutual love of a band/artist(s) whose music just speaks to your soul. The people in your life that you see everyday probably don’t understand your passion or enthusiasm about concerts but the people who camp out and queue… The ones that go crazy over something like band merch; they understand you and there is no judgment about that love. Only encouragement, mutual respect, and admiration for the music. That’s what the GATRS is all about, we’re a small but mighty site that doesn’t believe in clickbait journalism, just worshipping bands.
