Eagles of Death Metal Make Their Return to the Stage, Joined U2 for Two Songs in Paris

Eagles of Death Metal made their return to the stage by joining U2 to close their set at Paris’ AccorHotels Arena tonight. It was their first time performing since the November 13 attacks of Bataclan.
Eagles of Death Metal and U2 performed a cover of Patti Smith’s (with Patti Smith) People Have the Power in tribute to the victims of the attacks. Before Bono let Jesse Hughes and company (Josh Homme wasn’t there) take over the stage. Bono introduced them with “They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago. We would like to offer them ours tonight.” They performed I Love You All the Time (which artists have been covering at the request of the band in support of those affected by the terrorist attacks in Paris last month).

The names of the attack victims were displayed during the performance.

Watch the full performance here, starting at the 32-minute mark, and more below.

The full U2 concert will air tonight on HBO.
