First Look at Amy Winehouse Documentary “Amy”

Almost four years after her tragic death, Grammy-winning, artist Amy Winehouse is brought back to life in a moving trailer for Amy. It’s the documentary that chronicles her rise and heartbreaking fall.

In the teaser for Amy, directed by Asif Kapadia and set for a July release, a young Amy expresses an eerie discomfort with the idea of fame. “How big do you think you’re going to be?” she’s asked. “I don’t. I don’t think I’m going to be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I would probably go mad.

Amy Winehouse died July 23, 2011, at the age of 27, from alcohol poisoning.
