Five Best of: Bob Dylan

American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature for

” Having created new poetic expressions with the great American song tradition”

The Swedish Academy’s, Sara Danius compared Dylan’s work to that of Homer and Sappho stating that

“they wrote poetic texts that were meant to be listened to, that were meant to be performed, often with instruments — and it’s the same way with Bob Dylan,”

Dylan is the first singer/songwriter to win the award.

As huge Dylan fan’s here at the blog, we could not agree with their decision more, though it does make one wonder, what the future of the Nobel Lit Prize could look like (Kanye lyrics, anyone???)

No matter, we decided to pay tribute to one of our all time favorite singer/ songwriters with this month’s Five Best Of… Only… We couldn’t stop at 5 with Mr. Dylan (heck we had a hard time narrowing it down to ten!!)

Also, do you know how hard it is to find decent Dylan You-Tubes????
