Callum Barrows, better known as Saint Raymond, is a singer-songwriter from Nottingham, England. He produces lovely vocals alongside rhythms that pair almost perfectly. He’s been gaining fame and recognition all over the UK throughout the past two years with features on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 Show and sets at T in the Park, Glastonbury, BBC Radio’s Big Weekend, and Reading and Leeds Festival. You also may know him as the opening act from Ed Sheeran’s UK and European Multiply tour. Callum is now starting to get the recognition he deserves.
Saint Raymond just released his debut album in England, entitled Young Blood. He also has a handful of beautiful EPs and a single out as well. His tunes are very upbeat and have the ability to reel you in and make you want to sing and dance along. One of my favorite tracks is As We Are Now due to its subtle guitar and heartfelt lyrics. In a way he reminds me of the singer-songwriter Lewis Watson combined with the band Coasts, just a bit more mellow and upbeat. The song Thread engulfs you with its catchy melody and vocals and is a tune that really deserves a listen. Young Blood is made up of seventeen lovely tracks and is just a cohesive and fun album that makes you come alive.
Make sure to give Saint Raymond a listen and see if Young Blood gives you the same sense of enjoyment it has given me. Check out the video below and stay up to date with Callum and all of his upcoming music news through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Sound Cloud.
