Liverpool’s Vryll Society are making their mark on the U.K. music scene. They certainly caught our attention at SXSW with their mesmerizing and enthralling set.
They’ve got the stamp of approval by BBC and they have already toured with Blossoms, Hidden Charms, and the very much missed Viola Beach. We’ve been listening to them on repeat for quite sometime and we can’t help but tell everyone we know about them.
The Vryll Society are a quintet from Liverpool and are composed of Michael Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Lewis McGuinness, Lloyd Shearer, and Benjamin Robinson. They’re distinctly British and their sound is a mashup of shoegaze, psych-rock, and post-punk. Their interstellar tracks are simultaneously airy and dense with trancelike tunes.
From the rocketing sounds of Deep Blue Skies and our favorite track, the ethereal Air The Vryll Society are making a splash with their kaleidoscopic sounds.
If we had to pick sound influences for those who need an idea before commitment… It be Tame Impala, Beach House, with a bit of The Verve, and The Horrors.
2017 is looking like it’s ready to be engulfed by the Vryll Society with the release of a debut album for the band and we’re ready for it.
