Charli XCX and Questlove have teamed up for a cover of Deee-lite’s ’90s classic Groove Is In The Heart that’s even featured in a new ad campaign for Target’s spring fashion line.
The cover is produced by Questlove and features some backing vocals from the Roots’ Black Thought.
The commercial debuted during Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary special.
The song was already catchy to begin and Charli always puts her spin to covers, making this one in particular less cheesy albeit just as indulgent of the guilt free pleasure of the original.
