New Release: Helsinki feat. Albert Hammond, Jr. “The Batteries Weren’t Dead,” Free Download

Drew McConnell’s Helsinki have announced the release of a new single The Batteries Weren’t Dead which is available now for an initial period as free download from LINK.
The single features a guest appearance from Albert Hammond, Jr. (of the Strokes) and is taken from Helsinki’s new album A Guide For The Perplexed which will be released March 2nd through Fierce Panda Records.
Albert Hammond Jr had this to say about his collaboration on The Batteries Weren’t Dead:
“It was the night after some big show and I had no idea where I was let alone who I was, so I went to meet Drew. Turns out he was in this studio…of course we ended up recording. It was a real whirlwind of emotions…I remember thinking how wonderfully melodic and talented Drew was. It took me ages to play the triplets at the end of the song that he wanted- I was super nervous, but I loved every minute of it.”
