New Releases this Week…

Ellenberg is the musical culmination of a life lived across continents and cultures, reflected in the tidal sway of first recording Platonic.  With a name taken from a recently discovered heritage that had been displaced by war (previously unknown German Jewish grandparents), Ellenberg  delves into 80’s pop influences scattering them with the youthful interests of melancholy, hope and discovery.

Australian three piece Pearls is a savvy, brooding band from Victoria. And yet somehow their fuzzier noise rock proclivities have found a way to dovetail nicely into an exploration of the glamour slice of the rock spectrum.Their debut LP Pretend You’re Mine will be out  on Remote Control/Dot Dash Records, February 2015.

Twin Wave have released a video for their new single Into The Night. They are busy working on a new EP scheduled to be released in the upcoming Spring

The Dodos are back with a new single, Competition. The San Fran band is on our list to see when they make an appearance at SXSW this coming March. Their new LP Individ is due out January 27. 2015 via Polyvinyl Records

Also, high on our list to see in Austin this coming March is Coasts. They have released a video for their single A Rush Of Blood, with a EP to follow in December via Tidal Recordings

The Amazing has released Picture You, a song just under 10 minutes that is nothing but beautiful. New album, also titled Picture You will be out in February
