Count on this group of Australian weirdos to come up with an idea like this… A 12” of four songs, each 10 minutes and 10 seconds long, accompanied by an insane painting of four different worlds melding together. Who are we to refuse them? This not quite an EP but not quite an LP.
The colored vinyl will be quarter pie-slices of translucent red, opaque grimace purple, translucent ice blue, and black. The artwork will be a custom designed poster of the full artwork that folds into a gatefold jacket for the record and opens up to a 24″ x 24″ poster of the art on one side and the lyrics on the other.
Sounds wonderful for us GATRS, we are vinyl lovers/collectors plus it sounds like something only a band like King Gizzard would come up with.
Have a listen to God Is in The Rhythm below.
Quarters will be released May 11th via the Castle Face.
In the meantime be sure to catch King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard on their U.S. tour…
