Liam Gallagher’s first-ever solo show was one for the books. Performing last night at Manchester’s O2 Ritz just eight days after the devastating terror attack outside the Manchester Arena. Even before Gallagher took the stage, 22 candles were placed in front of his band’s drum kit and throughout the night the audience chanted “Manchester la la la!” and “Stand up for the 22!”
Not only were all proceeds of the night were donated to all twenty-two victims but they were honored throughout the night. It was absolutely compelling and moving.

Gallagher performed Oasis favorites like Morning Glory, D’You Know What I Mean?, and Be Here Now. Gallagher even reunited with ex-Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs. For the encore, Gallagher led a powerful a capella singalong of Oasis’ Live Forever.
The camaraderie of the show was spellbinding, the love Manchester has for getting through this tragedy is inspiring. It was also very evident that Manchester has mad love for their hometown hero and Gallagher more than obliged.

As for new material, Gallagher debuted seven songs, Greedy Soul, Paper Crown, All I Need, Universal Gleam, and Wall of Glass (which is the album’s lead single) from his forthcoming solo debut album, As You Were. Gallagher sounds better, is fit, and craving to be back… We for one can’t wait to see more of him, rock n roll needs Liam Gallagher now more than ever.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer and ascending in Pisces. Also, loves dogs (especially my son Elvis) and quality food porn pictures. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
