After a brief hiatus, Albert Hammond, Jr. has emerged with teasers of a new song. Which Hammond, Jr. even performed on Wednesday night at The Resident in LA but for those of us who were not in attendance… We have good news for you. Hammond, Jr. has premiered the track on tonights CONAN but if you missed out on that as well, you can listen to Muted Beatings below. The track is classic AHJ with melodious vocals that and spidery guitar riffs that hypnotize us. If Muted Beatings are an indication of his next album with a continuation of his vocals growing strong over the years, it just proves to us that like fine wine Albert Hammond, Jr. just gets better with age. Listen below.

The description for the track, on Red Bull’s YouTube page, gives us a little more insight. “Albert Hammond Jr’s fourth solo album Francis Trouble explores a deeply personal topic – the stillborn death of his twin brother, Francis, and the lingering effects that event has had in his life and music.

In November of 1979, Hammond Jr’s mother, Claudia, miscarried. Although they rushed to the hospital, Claudia and Albert Hammond Sr. were told that the baby was far too premature to live. Albert continued to grow inside of his mother undetected until she was nearly six months pregnant.”

Francis Trouble drops on March 9th via Red Bull Records which you can pre-order HERE. View the track listing below.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
