Listen to Blondie’s New Song, “Long Time” Co-Written by Dev Hynes

Iconic new wave band Blondie are back. Along with core trio of original members (singer Debbie Harry, guitarist Chris Stein, and drummer Clem Burke) they are joined by Sitek on their first single, Fun which is a razor-edged track of disco punk with lyrics like “you’re my fun when I’m down, you pick me up again, you pick me up again, you’re my fun too, much fun, I get the feeling that you’re changing my mind.”

Also being featured on their upcoming 11th studio album, Pollinator (which drops May 5th via BMG) are collaborators such as The Strokes and CRX’s Nick Valensi, Sia, Joan Jett, Laurie Anderson, Charlie XCX, Johnny Marr, Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. Coincidentally the Dev Hynes (and Blondie) penned track, Long Time, dropped today. The track is quintessential Blondie circa Parallel Lines-era. It’s absolutely amazing to have these icons back. Listen below.

The album was produced by John Congleton (Depeche Mode, St. Vincent) and was the last effort recorded at New York’s legendary recording studio, The Magic Shop, the site of sessions for David Bowie’s final album, Blackstar, which has since closed due to rising rent costs. Pollinator is the follow-up to 2014’s Ghosts of Download.

2. Long Time
