Listen to Iggy Pop and Josh Homme’s “Sunday”

Iggy Pop has unveiled another new track, Sunday. The fresh new track is off of Post Pop Depression, the surprise and secretive collaborative album with Josh Homme. We’ve already heard two of its songs Gardenia and Break Into Your Heart.

Sunday clocks in at just over six minutes and has an oddly funky underbelly that doesn’t sound like the previous tracks but funky in a good way. The drums are classic Matt Helders, pounding like a heartbeat and keeping in rhythm, after all guilty feet have got no rhythm. The bass and guitar are slinky and riff heavy and pumps you up, pair that with the grizzly punk icon’s baritone and Josh Homme’s melodic harmonies it’s a match made in rock n roll heaven. Around the 4:30 mark it begins to dissolve into an orchestral piece. Listen below.

Post Pop Depression is out March 18th on Loma Vista.
