Zoe Kravitz’s lush synth band, Lolawolf has just dropped their spacey new single since 2015. Their new track is entitled Teardrop and features vocals from none other than Miley Cyrus and its distorted sound with layers of ethereal harmonies from Kravitz and Cryus. It’s grim yet luminescent with a celestial melody that features r&b rhythm with matching lyrics like “forever is like Jesus, it’s just something that we’ve made ourselves believe in, so makes maybe the death a little less scary, it makes us feel safe.”
The song was first played on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music radio show, where Kravitz and her bandmate Jimmy Giannopoulos revealed that Teardrop will be featured on their new album, which they plan to release by the end of the summer. Kravitz also spoke about the seemingly idyllic time they spent in the Bahamas making the record: “It’s actually perfect. We get to be in this beautiful environment and then we just spend all day all night making music. It’s just what we end up doing naturally too, we don’t have to force ourselves to get into the studio.” Listen below.
