Menace Beach has already delivered one of our favorite debuts (Ratworld) back in January but that isn’t slowing them down. In-between touring with the likes of Drenge and the Cribs, as well as becoming one of Johnny Marr’s new favorite bands, Menace Beach found some time to head into the Suburban Home studio with Hookworm’s MJ to record their brand new EP, Super Transporterreum, which is set for release September 25th in the U.K. and October 2nd in the U.S.
The first release single is Ghoul Power and the title inspiration comes from a flu-fever hallucination which Liza Violet experienced while on tour. Ghoul Power has a slow but simmering start which rockets into a grungy but stellar riff and infusion of harmonious melodies that are paired with a palpitating drum beat that just won’t stop.. Not that we want it to.
