New Release: Drenge “We Can Do What We Want”, Will Perform New Single on Letterman

We Can Do What We Want is the new single from Drenge, which is streaming below and can I just say it’s good to have the guys back. The single is a rocking tune, classic Loveless brother style. It starts off with a guitar riff (Eoin) and the stellar drumming (Rory) is just out of the world. I get nostalgic feel like Ramones Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment but of course it’s all their own sound and if it’s any indication of the new album, I can’t wait for it. The single is now available on iTunes now and look for the brothers to perform the new song on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight.

Listen to the new single below.

Plans for their second album, Undertow will come out on April 6th and will feature the just released single it’s the follow-up to 2013’s Drenge which was produced by Ross Orton.

Drenge made this announcement on their official facebook page…

After 20 months of trotting the globe, we retired to McCall Sound Studios at the backend of last year to work on our second LP.
We’ve got Ross Orton back in to produce and our childhood mate, Robert Graham, joins us for a couple of tracks on bass. The album is called “Undertow” and it’s about love and loss but it’s also about reservoirs and moors and a really great Arabic cafe near the studio.
To coincide with the album release we have a UK tour in some really special venues, so please come along, or complain loudly about how we’re not playing your village/hamlet/nan’s house.
Thank you
Eoin and Rory

About Naomi (866 Articles)
The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer and ascending in Pisces. Also, loves dogs (especially my son Elvis) and quality food porn pictures. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
