New Release: Tame Impala’s New Song, “Let it Happen”

2012’s heavy hitting, psych rock album Lonerism cemented Tame Impala as a force to be reckoned with.
We previously told you that they’ve been working on a new album back in January and it’s been a while since we heard anything about the Australian quintet.. To be fair, Kevin Parker was featured on Mark Ronson’s addicting tune, Leaving Los Feliz.
Well, today the band have debuted a brand new track called Let It Happen. Let It Happen is over eight minutes and definitely plays up the electronic (as promised) mixed in with that classic psych rock groove we all love. It finishes up with a nice bit of guitar funk with repeating vocal loops.
No word on the album title or official release date yet but it must be coming soon.

Along with the release of the audio track, they announced a slew of tour dates — including festival appearances at Coachella, Sasquatch, Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable.
