Alabama Shakes “Sound & Color”

Alabama Shakes have shared a video for Sound & Color, the title track from their new sophomore album. It’s the first in a series of conceptual videos to come. In this particular video, which screams 2001: A Space Odyssey… It’s a Mario Hugo–helmed mini-story that is melancholic, featuring a disoriented spaceman navigating the cold white contours of his floating home. His memory sparks with vivid flashes of his earthbound life—his long-gone wife and son; birthdays; swingsets. Our hero’s alone, his world of sound and color replaced with powdered food packets and a lonesome control room. It’s all so bleak and thrilling.

About Naomi (807 Articles)
Most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer and ascending in Pisces. Also, loves dogs (especially my son Elvis) and quality food porn pictures. Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook: @youthquakermimi
