Charli XCX’s video for Famous from her recent album Sucker was created as part of the YouTube Music Awards. Ironically enough, since the video is an emoji filled takedown of internet culture that is directed by Eric Wareheim (from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!).
The video is surrounded by a Charli fan attempting to watch and dance along to the song’s video despite her dying cell phone and tablet charge. It gets darker throughout the video, showing prepubescent girls that look straight out of tumblr and the video also shows Charli as a scab-covered version of herself looking glamorous when on a device.
Melomaniac and shameless fangirl.
I am addicted to concerts. They are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row and at barricade at a concert... I feel that I am truly home.
I'm also a proud and happy crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable.
Also, loves dogs and food.
