New Video Release: Devonté Hynes and Neneh Cherry “He, She, Me”

Blood Orange, aka Devonté Hynes, and Neneh Cherry were commissioned by Selfridges to write a new song called He, She, Me to soundtrack an original film that was directed by Kathryn Ferguson about a powerful movement of gender equality. All clothing, and other items, are made to be worn by anyone of any gender.
The result is an incredible powerful visual with an even more impactful message and score.

The film is an evolving journey through a subtle push and pull between masculinity and femininity, captured entirely in one unbroken shot, utilising in-camera camera effects in a world populated by out-scaled physical props inspired by Faye Toogood’s in store realisation of Agender,” Ferguson explained in a press release. “This film has come at a time when important conversations about gender fluidity and non-binary ways of being are finally getting a lot of attention.

Melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts. They are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row and at barricade at a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. Also, loves dogs and food. Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook: @youthquakermimi
