Oasis had social media buzzing yesterday and today with two new tweets, one was a 5 second teaser video with old Oasis photos in the background as the words ’26 FEB 9 AM OASISINET.COM‘ across it and then the 2nd tweet was a teaser from the bands instagram account with Definitely Maybe vinyl spinning.
There was all sorts of speculation, most said it was re-issued music others were holding on to the dream of an Oasis reunion. After 9 am U.K. [which was 4 am U.S. time and of course I was awake at this time for this announcement] the rumors were put to rest.
Definitely Maybe has now been remastered for 2014 reissue by Ian Cooper at Metropolis studios. The super deluxe box set will set you back $165 [with shipping its $190] but it includes the following:
Both the 3 cd set & vinyl edition of the album, the special edition 3 cd set includes all the b-sides plus rare and unreleased oasis tracks from the definitely maybe era, including their huge christmas single from 1994, whatever.

All of these items are a pre-order, with the cassette [yes even a limited cassette is being re-issued] due to ship from the 7th April 2014 and the box set and limited edition cd released on the 19th May 2014.
Another tweet that was sent today had social media buzzing, this one said “In 2014 the first 3 Oasis albums will be re-mastered & rereleased complete with a collection of rare and unseen footage” attached was a youtube video of their song Chasing the Sun.
