Straight out of L.A., The Girls at the Rock Show present to you: Cherry Glazerr.
How many of us have dreamed of being in a band and travelling the world? How about being in a successful touring band while still being in highschool? Cherry Glazerr is living the dream so many of us weren’t able to achieve.
Made up of 3 key musicians, Clementine Creevy (lead singer), Sean Redman (bassist) and Hannah Uribe – this band has big things planned. After recently releasing an album, Haxel Princess, and having a song off their previous album, Papa Cremp featured in a campaign for Saint Laurent fashion and played on the hit show Arrow, it’s clear this band has no signs of stopping.
With two albums under their belt, this trio is touring L.A. while two of the three members still attend highschool. Talk about being the cool seniors, eh? They have played numerous shows, opening for the likes of Sky Ferreira and playing just about every festival they can.
They’ve had interviews with Vogue, Nylon magazine and Dazed magazine, as well as reviews by the New York Times, and have followers such as Tyler, The Creator..who I’d say is pretty hard to impress.
Their sound? A sensual version of garage rock which is still totally head-bang worthy – if this is the future of music, bring it on! Their lyrics are what gets’ most of their fan base going however, from songs talking about grilled cheese to animals, it’s a unique kind of deep.
Their tweets are what do it for me though. From ironic, to funny to simply fangirling over who they’re playing with that night, this band obviously keeps it real. And considering some of the members are still in high school, their music will only improve with more life experiences.
Just slipped on my blind dog's pee. Happy Monday everyone.
