Listening to the Voyeurs was like stepping through a time warp.
England Sings Rhubarb Rhubarb transported me into the 60s, specifically back to the notorious Factory days with Andy Warhol at the helm and the Velvet Underground was about to step onto the scene. It was as if I was listening to Lou Reed’s love child.
I like the way a good song or band makes your body vibrate, your soul quake with movement.. Whether in a slow hip gyrating way or amphetamine-like movements that filled most of the Warhol superstars. England Sings Rhubarb Rhubarb does just that. I can’t get enough of this song and I can’t wait to hear more of the Voyeurs. Until then I’m going to be playing this on repeat and you should too.
Check them out the Voyeurs.
