Song of the Day: CRX “Broken Bones”

CRX are releasing their debut album, New Skin, at the end of October. The band previously released the lead single, Ways To Fake It, they even made it their TV debut playing the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Yesterday, we got to hear the followup track, Broken Bones.

The track immediately starts in on a seedy guitar riff that is lush and slowly drips like thick honey over a deep baritone of bass and crashing cymbals. Valensi pairs lyrics like “taking my time running in place, leaving the house was a mistake”over sharp intertwined guitar riffs. It’s pure cataclysm and it’s brilliant. Listen below.
