Song of the Week: Albert Hammond, Jr. “Born Slippy”

It’s been almost a week since the release and I still can’t get Born Slippy out of my head. From that intro to the infectious beat and can’t forget about those guitar riffs. That interplay is mesmerizing with Albert’s vocals are shining, it’s no wonder why I’ve been playing it on repeat. It’s pretty much a perfect summer tune.
Albert’s third solo album, Momentary Masters, drops this summer.. July 31st to be exact and it’s his first full-length album since 2008, though his AHJ EP was released two years ago.

Albert is playing at several festivals this summer.. Like LouFest, Austin City Limits, Landmark Festival and a few others. He’ll also be playing with the Strokes, make sure to check out both.
Albert’s tickets for his Momentary Masters tour are on sale now, purchase them here.
