Sound Check: Week of July 8th

I hope this will become a weekly feature. A showcase of sorts where we rifle thru some of the new music floating along out there, either in the form of new bands you might not have heard of..or bands we all love that have graced us with new material. Either way, I hope you enjoy what we have to offer each time. Feel free to chime in with an email if you have a great song we need to hear, it might be included in the next weeks post.
Shy Nature released info on their new up coming self titled EP being released September 13th. They also gave us a sneak preview by releasing the new single Sinking Ships from it for us to enjoy. You can find info on the limited edition EP by going here.

London Grammar packed the La Pussy Parlure Nouveau tent at Glastonbury, even with a day time slot. Showing they are to be watched and listened to. Their single Strong will be released on September 1st with a full LP to follow by the end of the year. Keep an eye out for them.

I for one, love Punk music. To prove it is still alive and well is Radkey. Brothers from St. Joseph Missouri who are bringing back a bit of old school punk combining it with garage grunge. I first read about them from a NME twitter post. I wasn’t sorry for clicking the link. Out Here in My Head is the first single off their debut EP, Cat and Mouse which will be released July 15th.

You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc, I'm an avid vinyl lover and I have the receipts to prove it.
