Dirty Hit’s most recently signed artist, The Japanese House, is definitely someone worth listening to. With brooding lyrics and alt-pop rhythms, this upcoming artist is one to beat.
Ever since Amber Bain was signed, everyone has been keeping a close eye. After debuting her first track Still at BBCR1 with Zane Lowe on March 2nd, Bain quickly attracted fans with her haunting vocals and synth filled track, creating a painfully beautiful song.
She also recently released a public stream of Pools to Bathe In. The intro, and Bain’s vocals, faintly remind me of Step by Vampire Weekend but the acoustic guitar serves a raw(er) vibe. Have a listen and see for yourself!
Dirty Hit is a label filled with talents like The 1975, who actually produced Amber’s EP, Wolf Alice, Marika Hackman, and more – The Japanese House has a reputation to uphold and I think she’s going to exceed the expectations.
Her EP Pools to Bathe In drops April 27th, which you could pre-order on iTunes and immediately get the Track Still available for download. Or if you’re a vinyl fan, her Limited Edition pastel pink 12” is officially ready for pre-order at https://store.dirtyhit.co.uk/*/Music/Pools-To-Bathe-In-12-Vinyl-EP/4F1V04EQ000
