Throwback Thursday: Arctic Monkeys in Denver, CO

In May of 2013, I traveled to Denver, Colorado to see Arctic Monkeys who were performing at the Ogden, a small venue downtown. It was on of the first shows they played after releasing their lead single, Do I Wanna Know? from AM.

That night I got chills down my arm when they came out and struck the opening chords, a feeling I still get when I hear the song live. The excitement and energy of the crowd that night foretold the coming of something great from these guys.
We were not wrong. AM went on to become a massive hit and for me, that night began a magical year and a half ride seeing them over 20 times in such places such as Canada, Florida, and even my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Here’s a treat for you, enjoy the b-side to Suck it and SeeEvil Twin.

Today I find myself, once again in Denver in a queue waiting to see Arctic Monkeys but this time in a much larger venue. Red Rocks to be exact.
Who knew the band from Sheffield that got their start from fans forwarding their music would finally breakout in America.

You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc, I'm an avid vinyl lover and I have the receipts to prove it.
