Twin Peaks “Holding Roses”

Chicago’s Twin Peaks are back at it and have shared a new track Down in Heaven from their newest and upcoming third record, Holding Roses. We previously heard Walk to the One you Love.

Holding Roses, is about a breakup of some kind but not necessarily a romantic relationship, it’s about losing something valuable. It’s a chill and almost beach-like tune, think Mac DeMarco meet early Rolling Stones, but with far more grizzly vocals that give a balancing contrast. Lyrics like “goodbye baby and the music starts to fade. Goodbye baby, I really wish you could have stayed” should resonate with everyone who’s lost something special.

Down in Heaven drops on May 13th via Grand Jury.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer and ascending in Pisces. Also, loves dogs (especially my son Elvis) and quality food porn pictures. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
