Watch Alexandra Savior’s “Girlie”

When I think of Alexandra Savior, I think of her sullen fondness for clever wordplay paired over her voice which is so lush and velvety that it can hypnotize anyone. Her song Girlie does just that. Girlie is the story of a woman in Hollywood with stars in her eyes, à la the movie La La Land, just look at the lyrics “Talk about Hollywood problems, she’s got ’em, she’s always looking for a wilder ride and she’ll be fuckin’ with her phone all night. She calls me ‘Girlie’”
Savior is able to sing sullenly, similarly to Lana Del Rey although it has a certain twist to it thanks to Alex Turner and master producer James Ford. There’s a similarity to Turner’s band, Arctic Monkeys, 2009’s album Humbug. Alexandra Savior also has an LP that can be some of that full moon music. Watch the dreamy visual below, and see why it’s our Song of the Day, it’s aesthetically pleasing and gives me Lisbon sisters vibe.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
