Watch Cherryade’s New Lyric Video “Theresa May (Bullsh*t)”

If I were to describe London-based duo, Cherryade, I would say they’re the musical equivalence of a glitter coated fluorescent neon light sign in a fabulous dive bar. Absolutely fun and dripping with cheeky attitude and punk pop beats. Of course, that doesn’t mean there’s no depth. In fact, Cherryade has perfected the ability to write sanguine songs and still have resonating lyrics. It just happens to be paired with sharp reverberating beats and punchy dance rhythms.
Their newest song, Theresa May (Bullshit), is no exception. With the United Kingdom’s general election around the corner (June 8th) Cherryade addresses a variety of issues ranging from the general election to stereotyping millennials as lazy, to rising house prices and idolizing celebrities, Ella and Alex mask it all under a layer of bullshit – literally…

Speaking of the track, the duo says: “We wrote parts of this song a while back, but it feels relevant now more than ever. At the end of the day, we make pop music but don’t want to shy away from talking about issues that affect us and end up dumbing things down for the sake of getting on radio or playlists. It’s a song that says everything but nothing at the same time – just like most politicians.
