Working in writing sessions while filming the second season of Netflix series, GLOW, Kate Nash previously launched a Kickstarter to bring her newest album to fruition since she’s been an independent artist for five years now. That new project will see the light on March 30th and is entitled Yesterday Was Forever and is the follow-up to 2013’s Girl Talk. Nash explains about the new album…

“‘Yesterday Was Forever’ is an excerpt from a teenage diary. I used to be mocked for being a silly little girl writing in her teenage diary, but these days I feel like the teenage girl is far more respected than she use to be and it’s teenage girls that have fought for that and taught people that lesson. ‘Yesterday Was Forever’ is your dreams being trapped in a time capsule, being caught in a moment for too long, and looking back through heart-shaped glasses. The tour will include and celebrate music from ‘Made Of Bricks’, ‘My Best Friend Is You’, ‘Girl Talk’ and the new album ‘Yesterday Was Forever’.” Nash also goes on to say “I’m currently at the mixing stage and we’ll be mastering the album in a few weeks, we are so close! I think that the release is going to be delayed by a month but to make up for that we’re releasing a single early! RIGHT NOW! You can expect the album in MARCH! eek!”

The album news came in the wake of a brand new track, Drink About You, which you can listen to below.

Nash also dropped the official video for Drink About You which you can watch below.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
