Scooter Island has released the music video for their low-key summertime anthem, “Breezy” (feat. Zoe Penina). It’s the perfect portrayal of everything you’ve come to know and love about the summer: rooftop parties, beaches, barbecues, and more – and the timing could not be any better! Watch Below:
Scooter Island is the freshman collaborative project of Matt FX, the 23-year-old Producer and Comedy Central affiliated Music Supervisor for Broad City and Man Seeking Woman as well as Amy Poehler’s upcoming Hulu comedy series, Difficult People. Their upcoming self-titled LP is a genre-defying, aural illustration featuring over 20 contributors, including Obey City, Junglepussy, and Salomon Faye, as well as rising stars such as Ducky, Synead, and the NYC based rapper TARO.
As urban as it is tropical, and as organic as it is pulsing, Scooter Island skillfully weaves together elements of modern electronic production with classical songwriting and resonating vocal performances that create an unmistakably familiar feeling which Matt FX has fittingly dubbed, “Rooftop Music.” a term he’s chosen to describe the through-line of his upcoming self-titled album (out Summer 2015). It’s this concept that is the true through-line of the album – a chill, laid-back record to play while relaxing with your friends; quite possibly on a rooftop, somewhere beautiful in the world!
