Wavves Release “Way Too Much” Against Warner Bros. Permission

Nathan Williams has been so busy with various side projects over the last year (Cloud Nothings collab, Spirit Club, Sweet Valley) but as promised we have the lead single to the upcoming Wavves album, which is supposed to come out sometime this year but apparently Nathan released the song early without his label’s (Warner Bros) permission. The label wanted to pull the song but he protested through a series of frustrated tweets which he threatening to leak the entire album if they took it down. It looks like he wins this round, so Way Too Much will remain on Spotify and it’ll be officially released officially via iTunes on Monday. Read his awesome tweets.

The song itself is electric and frenzied and basically everything I love. Listen to the song below.

Catch Wavves live on their upcoming U.S. tour alongside Twin Peaks.

The most important thing to know about me is that I'm a melomaniac and shameless fangirl. I am addicted to concerts, they are my sanctuary and safe haven. When I'm on the front row on the barricade of a concert... I feel that I am truly home. I'm also a proud and happy vinyl crate-digger. Whether it's searching for vinyl at flea markets, garage sales, vintage shops... I am a sucker for the crackling of a good record when the needle drops on a turntable. I am a true Cancer with Moon in Cancer and ascending in Pisces. Also, loves dogs (especially my son Elvis) and quality food porn pictures. Social Media: @youthquakermimi
