London trio, Years & Years are an infectious infusion of R&B meets electro-pop that sounds like they’re from the ’90s. Their sound is like pop with a twist of heartbreak and glittery blend of dance that come together in an anthemic infusions that is too good to pass up.. Same goes for their brand new video, Foundation. The track is from their debut album Communion which is out July 10th on Interscope in the U.S. and Polydor in the U.K.
New track, Foundation is directed by Fred Rowson and features singer Olly Alexander coming back from the dead at his own wake.
Olly said of the video, “we wanted to revisit some earlier themes and imagery from our videos. We expanded on the eerie and hypnotic feel of the song and played with the drama of ritualistic practice, audience and voyeurism. Our director, Fred Rowson, was really good at seeing into our minds and bringing our ideas to life.”
