It seems like I’ve been following this Louisiana band since the very first time I heard Wild on SiriusXM’s AltNation. Something about the dulcet tones and driving percussion just really appealed to me. I’m glad to see those same qualities are present throughout their highly anticipated album, GLOW, which hits stores today.
I’ve been lucky enough to see them perform live twice, each time with another great band, American Authors. Their show is high energy, entertaining and seems to just keep getting better. They love their crowd and don’t so much perform for them but with them. It really is phenomenal and I’d encourage you to see them if you have the chance. They’re kicking off another tour – this time with Said the Whale – soon.
The final song of the night at both shows was “Wild,” and let’s just say the name applies. Vocalist/guitarist/percussionist Gary Larsen hauled his drum into the crowd and performed most of the number from there. This video was shot at the second show where Larsen took the device of one unsuspecting fan – take a peek.
