City Park continues to explore their texturized, deconstructed pop sound with their newest single ‘Remedy,’ taken from upcoming sophomore EP out next year.
The duo Sjaak and Sauxhavebeen making music together for over 10 years, starting in their Amsterdam high school’s big band. They have since been following in the footsteps of indie R&B pop artists before them, racking up impressive streams on their debut self-titled EP.
Citing Steve Lacey and MorMor as points of reference, new single ‘Remedy’ diverts from the more polished sound of past material. Written on a morning of making music after a night out, “it’s about looking for a remedy for regretful nights.” It’s a relatable feeling:“the times you know you’re not going to do yourself any good, staying at parties too long waiting for something to happen.”
