Catholic Action return with People Don’t Protest Enough

We met up with Scottish band Catholic Action a few years ago at SXSW and knew they were something a little different and a bit special. They do not fall into the usual trappings of music, and their latest song People Don’t Protest Enough, is just giving us another reason to stand by our thoughts on the band. They are not afraid to express their feelings and let the world know what they are feeling or what they believe in.

The single, which is the second drop from their upcoming album Celebrated by Strangers, due for release on March 27, 2020, is ” definitely an opinionated record, that’s for sure,” says frontman Chris McCrory, who also stated he wouldn’t want to release music if it didn’t say anything.

The song is infectious, more mature than we previously have heard from them, relying less on the guitar and turning to the atmosphere of recording to find its feel and the band’s identity. Listen below:

About Teri (1954 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
