Australia’s singer-songwriter Didirri has released a new single titled The Critic which is taken from his recently announced second EP Sold For Sale, which follows his debut Measurements EP (2018).
The Critic is a song about love gone wrong, and its companion video, which was directed by Peter Hume shows the fall of a relationship and how it can hurt. Didirri’s vocals are both warm and emotive and blend well with the feel of the song.
Here is how Didirri described the song:
The act of criticizing something can often ruin it. It may seem like the most intelligent move to analyze your every action, but make sure you don’t over correct and start to see things beyond what is actually going on.
Love needs to be free of criticism to flourish. You aren’t the expert in your relationship; you are half of the team and half of the problem.”
” It’s not just the thorns that will scratch you. If coddled, love will bleed.”
