Four For Friday Featuring: Hollywood Eyes, Mystery Friends, The Vices, and Young and Sick

Hollywood Eyes ” Dollhouse “

It’s  been  a little over twelve months since  alt-pop  outfit  Hollywood Eyes made their arrival on the indie scene and in that short amount of time, Hollywood Eyes have found their style and sound, taking inspiration from the likes of  The 1975, and LANY . They have just released a new single Dollhouse, which is a true indie banger with dreamy vocals that surprise you with the heights they reach, along with angsty lyrics, and a guitar riff that is a bit addictive. All we are going to say is….we are hooked.

Mystery Friends ” Locked Eyes “

DC’s Mystery Friends have just released new single Locked Eyes, which is the second single from their forthcoming debut album Past and Future Self. The single shows a dreamier synth driven side of the band. Soothing and beautiful with ethereal vocals that float across the instrumentation, and a heartbeat like drumbeat during the verses. It is a song to listen to while spending a romantic night with someone special.

The Vices ” Speeding Up To Last “

Having formed at the end of 2018, and playing some of their first shows opening for Yungblood, The Vices are looking forward to taking even bigger steps in 2019. Their newest single Speeding Up To Last is a sure way to propel them even further upward. The single is a mesh up of garage rock, indie rock and a bit of California surf sound thrown in. Speeding Up To Last takes on basically the rat race of life where everyone wants to mean something in life, and even though we are working our asses off, the others still keep passing us by. Relatable to the masses I’d say.

Young and Sick ” The Size Of Relief “

Musician and visual artist ( he has designed album covers for bands like Foster The People )Young & Sick, the brainchild of Dutch-born Nick van Hofwegen, dropped a new single Size Of Relief along with his EP of the same name on May 3rd. Captivating vocals soar over Pulsing mesmerizing electronics. Be sure to check out his new album.

About Teri (2935 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
