Laveda : “Better Now”

We are loving the contrast vocals on the new single Better Now by Laveda. The breathy female vocals by Ali Genevich set off perfectly the dark and sultry vocals of Jake Brooks. The song has a cinamatic feel as it takes on  a futuristic perspective, one maybe 20 or 30 years from now. In a post-apocalyptic world, a person looses someone close to them and is reflecting back on what once was.

The 101 ” Sleeping In “

The 101 are a young indie-pop band from Aberdeen, Scotland. Drawing influences from the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Bad Suns, and Passion Pit. Newest single Sleeping In is a love song as frontman Dexter tells.. ” I wanted to write a totally personal, upfront and an honest love song about the happiness a relationship can bring to a person.” We loved the jangly, singable melody, a sure sign of a great pop song.

Scarpa Salpa ” Before It Goes Dark “

Northhampton’s Sarpa Salpa have released a new single titled Before It Goes Dark. The single is a powerful pop masterpiece that will have you addicted with the first note. The tune tackles the frustration of not being able to stop the inevitable and is one of the bands darker tracks to date. Before It Goes Dark is the first taste of Sarpa Salpa’s upcoming debut EP due out at the end of the year.

Limon Limon ” Trying Not To Think ABout You “

Indie duo Limón Limón seamlessly fuses the past and the future, with their captivating sound. It weaves together the expressive and unique feelings of live instruments with inventive lyrics and layered vintage and digital synths. The LA-Based duo has just released their first-ever single Tryin Not To Think About You, which will be on their debut EP. The song is a feel-good banger with lush instrumentation that is layered with dreamy vocals. It will be a hit on your summer playlist.

About Teri (1583 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
