Four For Friday featuring The Forever, Whyes, Henry and The Waiter, and Jared Marc

The Forever ” Home ”

When the English band Coasts ended their run frontman Chris Caines faced a rocky year, he spent months in the hospital and at home recovering from Sepsis and Pneumonia. After recovery, he spent the latter part of 2019 in a studio working on his solo music and released a self-released debut single in 2020 under the moniker The Forever. He has just dropped his second single of the year titled Home, which is a light and airy tune about finding happiness within yourself. We love the way Chris’s vocals soar over the dreamy background of instrumentation and cannot wait to hear more from him.

Whyes ” I’m At War “

Belgium based band WHYES have dropped their latest single titled I’m At War. The single which was recorded at ICP Studios in Brussels was produced by Luuk Cox. The band says this about the new single “ Its about someone who previously had not much discipline. A person who was quite loose with his life, but has a lot of fun memories. His DIY character ensures that he gradually gets to know himself as someone who does not give up quickly and will do everything to make something of his life. You could say that this person is “at war” with everyone and everything to become successful and happy.” We love the plucky synths and the rattling drums, that help make this an addictive tune.

Henry And The Waiter ” Little Paradise “

Singer, songwriter, and producer Henry And The Waiter has shared his new single Little Paradise, which is the first single to be taken from his upcoming EP Hidden Spirit. The song is drenched in summery feels from the beginning whistles to the vintage guitars, smooth keys, and catchy vocals. It is an ode to Henrik’s home, his own little paradise, a retreat he says ” which I created with my partner. Especially in times when it’s not possible to be in public that often, I have become aware of the importance of a safe retreat for inner peace. The prescribed isolation stimulated my creativity since there were only a few options for distraction.”

Jared Marc ” We’re Gonna Make It “

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jared Marc grew up playing shows in small clubs alongside artists like Twenty One Pilots and Walk The Moon. He just released a new song titled We’re Gonna Make It, which he wrote, produced, and mixed all at home. The song is a hope-filled quarantine anthem that we all need right now. Here is what Jared says about the new upbeat single ” I think it’s possible that 2020 is the most important year of our life time this far. It’s teaching us what really matters. “

About Teri (2583 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
