Monday’s New Music Mashup Featuring: Young & Sick, From White to Gray, Bad Wave, and Dante Hadden

Young & Sick ” Bitter End “

Young & Sick aka Nick van Hofwegen has released his newest single titled Bitter End. The quick-paced tune combines some great danceable grooves along with some major 70’s throwback soul. The song will be on his upcoming EP that will be released by Neon Gold Records / B3SCI Records, this coming Spring. The musician and visual artist ( you might reconginze some of his work…Foster The People Torches and Maroon 5 Overexposed album covers ) also announce a string of 19 tour dates as support for The Knocks on their US tour.

From White To Gray ” Paranoid “

With hypnotic soulful vocals, wrapped in a haze of electronicdrums and synths  Paranoid, the newest single by From White to Gray is an emotional journey about the daily grind of many that leads to isolation, to the parody of escaping into the bright lights of the night, fast cars, clubs, bars and the feeling of euphoria of the classic lost in music on the dancefloor of life.

Bad Wave ” I Can Be A Friend To You “

I Can Be A Friend To You is the first track off of Bad Wave’s new four track Ep which is due to drop on January 25th. They had this to say about the song ” I’ve written a few songs about forbidden love. What I like about this one is that there are several scenarios I imagined while writing it. Different characters and different forbidden reasons. It’s strange how there have always been relationships that are off limits. Maybe there will always be a line you shouldn’t cross. Or maybe all love is beautiful. Actually no.  Now I’m thinking of some weird stuff nobody should ever do.”

Dante Hadden ” Most Nights “

With a vocal tone that reminds us a lot of Marcus Mumford, Vancouver’s Dante Hadden has released a new single titled Most Nights. Drawing on acoustic folk music, the song is both soulful and stirring, easily allowing you the ability to sing along with it. Hadden had this to say about the topic of the song..

“This track is inspired by the feeling of walking home alone late at night. Studio days transform into studio nights and before you know it, morning has come. No buses running at this time, and few people around. The only constant are the waves crashing onto the rocks as I walk over the Lions Gate Bridge. As night slips into day, I’m inspired to catch that moment and keep it.”
