New Music Monday for the week of August 5, 2019

Amoji ” You I we “

La based Amoji, aka Magnus Gunnarsson, who is orginally from Iceland has released new single You I We. The electro-pop song is inspired by the way him and his wife met bar hopping in Reykjavik. Full of spikey synths the song is perfect for anyones night of bar hopping, though no guarennteed on meeting your future mate.

All The Rest ” Way Out “

Oh, when electro-pop is good it is very good and All The Rest have given us a banger of a hit with their new single Way Out. Basically a breakup song, it is wrapped up in a shiny synth-filled package that will have you singing at the top of your lungs, it is that addictive. Move over The 1975, there are some new boys in town and they are out to steal your crown.

Younger Hunger ” Straight Face “

With lyrics such as ” Got no money and I’m dead inside, plus I’ve got problems that are hard to hide Younger Hunger’s new single Straight Face has a protagonist that we think might be our perfect sad boy nihilistic emo boyfriend. We love everything about this single, lyrics, perfect harmonies throughout, and yes, even the ridiculous diner advertising at the end. Younger Hunger says they are “piece of shit evil band that’s gonna destroy the world,” We think more like take over the music world.

Sloane ” Lonely “

Slowing it down with some sadness and heartbreak with the new single by performer and music director Sloane titled Lonely. The song is an exceptional ballad, with lush vocals that are filled with emotion. After a year of exploring pain and pleasure through music, Sloane started developing songs with the intention to help everyone that feels out of place to smile and feel more connected. Using synths, samplers, analog synths, guitars and voice pedals, Sloane started making music to cry to while you smile. Lonely is a song that will do just that.

Les Gold ” Out To Sea “

Portland indie-rock quartet Les Gold has released a new single titled Out To Sea. The single provides you a soundtrack for a  young, powerful, and sometimes manic summer romance. ( We’ve all had them right? ). The chill single will take you on a trip to the beach even if you are landlocked, with its dreamy vocals and breezy melody. Perfect to ride out the last days of summer with.

About Teri (2871 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
