New Music Monday for the week of December 9, 2019 featuring new music and videos by Hazlett, DYLLAN, Weathers and Phoebe Ryan

Hazlett ” Monsters “

Australian singer/songwriter Hazlett likes being an emotional stubborn romantic. Doing his own thing he is honest, at times too much so, he writes his music from the heart, because like all of us, he is broken. His newest single Monsters is a slow burner that captures your attention quickly with Hazlett’s sultry vocals and the simple guitar accompanying him. It is a song that is heartfelt and powerful. It is a song you will find yourself turning to often.

DYLLAN ” Devotion “

DYLLAN is an LA-born vocalist and producer. She has released a new single Devotion that takes on a powerful subject of women not needing a man to find love within themselves. Here is what she had to say about Devotion“Being treated like a “goddess,” isn’t what we’re here for anymore. We’re here for equality. We don’t need the male gaze to feel confident, sexy, or valuable. We have self-love.”

Weathers ” Always Tired “

After a busy year that included releasing three singles and multiple tours, LA Based alt band Weathers have unveiled a new single Always Tired. The single is is a retro-pop-rock jam and according to frontman Cameron Boyer is about “feeling so freakin tired all the time to the point where it feels like it’s just a habit. It’s for those who can’t stop feeling tired even when they shouldn’t. It’s for those who constantly feel like you’re carrying a boulder everywhere you go.”

Phoebe Ryan ” ICIMY “

Texas-born and Jersey Shore-raised, singer-songwriter Phoebe Ryan’s brand of pop is both immediate and slyly clever. Her new single, “ICIMY,” the latest in a string of recent home runs, initially presents itself as pure 1989-era Swiftian bubble gum, only to quickly undercut the listener with an unexpected guitar crash. The accompanying music video presents the raw emotions attached to finding and subsequently losing an important person in one’s life. It features non-binary trans actor and musician Joey Rose.

About Teri (2624 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
