New Music Monday with The Zolas, Final Greetings, Sarah Almoril, and Simen Mitlid

The Zolas ” Come Back To Life “

New single Come Back to Life by Canadians The Zolas is the title track to the band’s upcoming album. The band has taken a step back as they say to move forward and turned to the Brit-pop music they all obsessed with as kids for the new single and album. The single itself is a reminder to ” keep fighting for change. We can’t let ourselves despair and sink back into apathy; we can’t be drawn in by the cozy siren song of pop-culture oblivion.”

Final Greetings ” By My Side “

Melding together bits of hardcore, classic rock and alt rock Final Greetings have released new single By My Side. The pop rock tune reminds us to hold onto love no matter what and is full of jangly guitars and catchy melodies.

Sarah Almoril ” Heartbroken Kid “

Berlin-based artist Sarah Almoril has dropped a new single Heartbroken Kid and its accompanying video. Heartbroken Kid is a moody electronic tune that highlights Almoril’s emotional unique voice. The tune is a haunting and relatable look at heartbreak and anxiety.

Simen Mitlid ” Murders “

Norway’s singer-songwriter Simen Mitlid creates lush, Nordic indie-folk much in the same vein as Sufjan Stevens, and Fleet Foxes. His newest single Murders is the third from his upcoming fall release album Birds. The soothing, dreamy tune is about ” memories of friendship, family, doubt, and loss bound together by the consistent sense of longing.

Kickin Lilies ” All These Bad Dreams “

Sunderland’s Kickin Lilies have released All These Bad Dreams, which just so happens to be their debut single. And boy does it get your attention with its big gritty garage rock sound.  Vocalist James Boak explained, “lyrically it focusses on the way in which negativity can affect how a person thinks or behaves.”  The guitar solo toward the end alone will breathe life back into your boring Monday.

About Teri (2583 Articles)
You can usually find me traveling, queuing, or at barricade for a band. I am most likely doing all three things in a day. If I'm not at a concert you can also find me digging through crates for that coveted black disc of vinyl.
