I’m probably the most uninteresting person that is part of this blog but I’ll just blame that on my kids, since that is how the majority of my time is spent.
Music is and always has been a big part of my life. Although on this blog I focus mostly one pop punk music, I actually enjoy lots of different types of music. Lyrics are the key to me falling in love with a song..if there are lyrics that I can relate to..I’ll listen to that song for days on end regardless what genre the song falls under.
Other than music my passions are cooking and Science. I’m a closet anime/manga/Kpop/Kdrama nerd..I try to keep it on the down-low but sometimes my complete lameness pours out. I also love reading, binge watching shows, and sleeping! I used to be a cake decorator but am now co-running a soap business where I make homemade but organic bath yummies.
I am engaged to my best friend who I met on a super cheesy dating site and I have a 7 year old daughter who is completely way cooler than me. She knows all about Youtubers, Minecraft, and whatever all the cool kids are talking about. I also just had my son in January and I’m very carefully trying to remember what the hell I’m supposed to do with a baby.
“You know, I’ve got this theory, there are two kinds of people in the world. There are lyric people and music people. You know, the lyrics people tend to be analytical. You know, all about the meaning of the song. They’re the ones you see with the CD insert out like 5 minutes after buying it, pouring over the lyrics, interpreting the hell out of everything. Um, then there’s the music people, like Brooke. Who could care less for the lyrics as long as its just got like a good beat and you could dance to it. I don’t know, sometimes it might be easier to be a music girl and not a lyric girl. But since I’m not, let me just say this. Sometimes things find you when you need them to find you, I believe that. And for me its usually song lyrics.” – Peyton Sawyer, One Tree Hill
