Morning in May is back with a new single “Orpheus in Retrospect” featuring Craig Mabbitt.
The band which is reinventing 2007 emo music are known for their descriptive lyrics which bring their songs to life in a cinematic way and putting on theatrically driven performances. They have toured with big names such as Hawthorne Heights, Underoath, and August Burns Red as well as performing at the 2018 Warped tour.
Orpheus In Retrospect is the first offering off their upcoming record, Somewhere In Slumber ( February 2021 ) a conceptual album that follows the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. The song embodies cool undertones with a bold chorus and unique transitions, that highlight the clean vocals of Jake Bartolic as well as the venomous screams from Escape The Fate’s frontman Craig Mabbitt.
Bartolic tells us a bit about the new single: “Some things you do in this business really show your progression as an artist. Somethings happen that make you reflect on how far you’ve come and working with Craig is definitely one of those times and we are really excited to have him feature on our new single.”
